WORLD STAGE |
|
Jim Peterik's World Stage concerts are a fresh and vibrant array of roc,
country, blues, etc., that blend together to create an extremely
entertaining show not to be missed! The love and respect for this special man is evident by all of us X-TREMES who came out despite the cold temperatures at the recent Arlington Heights show, and by all his on-stage friends who braved and conquered the elements to put on one of the most diverse World Stage shows ever. The camaraderie that Jim has with all of his musical guests further exemplifies his unique charisma and extraordinary talent. Jim amazes us at how he can jump right in and be comfortable performing with his guest, in each and every one of the different musical styles featured in the show. For us these shows prove what a "sweetheart of a man" he is, as he was referred to by a fellow performer at the Arlington Heights show, by giving up-and-coming local talent, such as Jeff Boyle, who does an awesome job on the "We Believe" duet with Jim (Julie's personal favorite), a unique opportunity to be seen and heard, as well as showcasing his special guests from groups from the 70s, 80s and 90s, such as Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger), Kevin Chalfant (The Storm), Alan Parsons from the Alan parsons Project, to name a few... the added treat of the "frozen" Babushka Brass from the Ides of March and move over Michael Jackson when those happy feet and groovin' moves of Marzette Griffith hit the stage! In addition to all the great songs Jim performs on his own and with the Ides of March, we love to watch the great chemistry he has on stage with his special guests, especially Kevin Chalfant and Kelly Keagy. We had so much fun singing along with "I've Got a Lot to Learn about Love," "I Can't Hold Back" and "Sister Christian." Jim Peterik is a very special person who gives his all to his fans and friends, with a full circle of love, warmth and support for each other. This wasn't our first World Stage, so we knew we would be in for a special night of music, but this was even better than we expect! BY The Poetry Sisters, Wendy & Julie
