MESSAGE FROM JIM

THANK YOU!!!!

The Ides' show in Bensenville was outstanding for so many reasons.  That show, for the last couple of years has marked the official "last show of the summer" for the Ides' and their great fans.  This year was really special with Jeannie Mikota coming up with pink "Babushka Brass" babushkas!  Karen was impressed with the courage you displayed in actually wearing the babushkas!

So many great fans turned out to support us at the way too early hour of 3:30!  Speaking on behalf of all the Ides, I have to say that seeing what I refer to as the "X-Treme Fans & Friends" of the Ides, always pumps us up to give 150%.  From Amboy to Bowling Green and beyond.  THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!

A personal thanks come from Karen and I for the anniversary card with all of your signatures and poster.  It's a real blessing to have love last for 30 years (some of you are there or close to it as well!).  We've discovered over the years, the enduring joy of being each other's "Vehicle".

Bensenville was also the site of our drummer, Mike Borch's birthday celebration.  I know he was totally blown-away by the cake, cards and dedications from stage (including my blurting out his age for all of Bensenville to hear)!

Thanks especially to Pete and Joyce for the effort they continually put into keeping the Ides' Spirit alive on their terrific fan site.  Your dedication proves to us all that the spirit is contageous!

Looking forward to the Bowling Green Ides' Magical Mystery Tour!
By the way, the Ides' taping for NBC's Summer Music Series will be repeated on Sept. 3 at t12:30 PM time slot - just in time to boost the remaining live shows of the season.  I am on my way to the next Ides's gig in Ft. Madison, Iowa.  Until next time.
