THE 70'S PARTY

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Pleasantdale fundraiser at Park Place in Countryside, Ill.  It was a 70's style bash with everyone including the Ides dressed in their finest and cheesiest 70's stuff.  John had on a tan leather fringe poncho - Chuck was later 70's with his disco vest - I had on a tie dye shirt with giant peace symbol - striped bellbottoms and giant 6 inch platform shoes with stars all over them (thanks RC) - in other words, what I usually wear  on stage anyway!  Fueled by bottles of Boone's Farm Apple Wine - the usually demure school body started shaking
their coolective booty and by dancing in the streets all hell was breaking loose.  It was certainly the wildest PTA meeting I had ever seen.
SPECIAL THANKS to Pete and Joyce for bringing me Pride Of Lions photos and my current discography and the Poetry Sisters - Wendy and Julie - for my first birthday present - an unbelievable Syllvestor Stallone action figure, that stands in a boxing ring and sings Eye Of The Tiger-WOW!  I am currently fighting my son Colin for possesion.

                 KEEP ROCKING!  JIM
